Why We Give Back to the Community

Nancy Nguyen

We want to empower our people to defend themselves and be confident, but it doesn’t stop there. For any business to grow, we need to focus on social responsibility. Help us make the community a better place. We host anti-bullying campaigns to build children’s confidence as it gives them a better chance to confront their bullies and help others (Pence, 2014). It prepares children and adults for mental defense before physical defense. The purpose of this campaign is to teach children how to stand up against bullies without physical fighting, unless necessary. Food drives are necessary as it helps us help our community get the nutrients they need to stay healthy. We live in a society where we have more than enough food for ourselves so it’s only right to share it with others. This not only helps us but the environment as it doesn’t contribute to the landfill (Buzby, 2021). We also donate to holiday toy drives as it helps children in need and keeps a smile on their face. They have more fun and tend to be more imaginative and creative (Correa, 2016). Anti-Bullying Campaigns are held every semester at varying schools (more information on our website), food drives are held on the first of every quarter starting January 1st,  and holiday toy drives are held every Christmas.

Why do we do this? It gives us a purpose beyond our business. Even though we are a small business, we can make a difference in our community, so we’ll take the opportunity. Being a community means taking care of each other so we can live great lives and work in a safe environment (Haskins, 2023). We are successful if you are healthy and confident. Giving back helps us grow as a business, community, and individuals. We should be able to live our best lives without fear. We would love to give back to the community with you. Let’s make a difference. Join us now! #smallbutmighty #westicktogether
